Delhi Minister and Sikh leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Wednesday condemned Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s statement on the blasts in Punjab, saying that the AAP leader’s remarks reflect the party’s mindset. He alleged that the party has consistently spoken in favour of Pakistan.

Quoting Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, Sirsa said the attacks were allegedly linked to Pakistan and occurred close to the time when the country is set to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event, Sirsa strongly condemned Mann’s remarks, in which the Chief Minister had alleged that the BJP was behind the incidents due to the approaching elections.

“Such a statement coming from the head of a state is very shameful,” the Delhi Minister said.

Sirsa further stated that the situation has arisen because Mann has failed to control law and order in the state.

Sharpening his attack, he alleged that whether it was the surgical strike or any other incident, Arvind Kejriwal and his party have always spoken in favour of Pakistan, and that the same mindset has now been adopted by Mann.

He also claimed that Mann, as Chief Minister, has no real authority, and that it is Kejriwal who is calling the shots and running the government from behind the scenes.

According to Sirsa, governing Punjab is not an easy task, as it is a sensitive border state that requires a careful and responsible approach for effective administration.

Sirsa expressed hope that the Punjab Police will continue to function without political pressure and give a befitting response to terror elements.
